Pastoral Care
In Primary School, we are committed to taking a keen interest in the welfare of children in our care. This may mean considerable time spent listening to students and guiding, counselling and advising them. It is important that teachers work together in partnership with parents so that together we can nurture students. As staff, it is our aim to encourage all students to grow in their Christ-likeness, which often can only come after the establishment of caring relationships with students.
At Tyndale, when students have not been serving one another or encouraging the safety and welfare of others, they need to deal with the consequences of their actions. Teachers and Coordinators will deal with all students in love, helping them to see their choices in a given situation and, together, decide on the next steps, which will include working towards repentance and restitution. Discipline in Primary School seeks to be loving yet firm and consistent.
